Lantana camara Ham and Eggs | 10_Seeds

$9.95

Here I am offering Seeds from Lantana camara Ham and Eggs. This tropical plant can get to as much as 3 feet high in some places, but is usually closer to 2 feet high. It likes to live in the full sun but can also thrive in partial shade. It blooms from the middle of the Summer until the middle of the Fall. It is a favorite with the birds, bees, and butterflies, but the deer do not like it at all; A deer would have to be awful hungry to take a bite of this one. The hummingbirds on the other hand love to nectar on this plant. It is a larval host for the Tropical Greenstreak butterfly. In December 2012 a Cassius Blue butterfly was documented feeding and laying eggs on a Lantana camara. It is also a larval host plant for the Rustic sphinx moth. A butterfly that has been documented gathering nectar from this plant is the Juno Longwing. USDA Hardiness Zones 7b to 10
