These seeds were collected from Passiflora aurantia, also known as Orange Passion Flower. This tropical vine likes to live in sun to partial shade where it can grow about 10 feet long. The pink, red, and orange blossoms are on display from late spring through the middle of the fall and attract a wide variety of birds, bees, and butterflies. This is a host plant for the Zebra Long Wing, Zebra Heliconian, Julia Heliconian, Isabellas Heliconian, Banded Orange Heliconian, Mexican Fritillary, Scarce Bamboo Page, Erato Heliconian, Variegated Fritillary, and Gulf Fritillary butterflies. It is also a larval host plant for the Plebeian sphinx Moth. This vine can be grown as an annual in any USDA Hardiness Zone and is a tender perennial in USDA Hardiness Zones 10 to 11.
