This is Ratibida columnifera, also known as Mexican Hats, Grey Headed Coneflower, Upright Prairie Coneflower, Yellow Coneflower, and Red Hats. This perennial can get about 3 feet high and must be grown in a spot where it can get at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. This plant will attract birds, bees, and butterflies as it blooms from late Spring until early Fall. It can also be grown to be used as a cut flower. This is a deer resistant plant.
